Tense is a very important thing for creating the right sentences in any language. In this post, I tried to explain Bengali 1st person tense in English. Before starting reading this article you can watch the video that I have made before.

 Learn Bengali Through English – Verb Tense (1st person)

Present, Past & Future tense in Bengali of 1st person sentense ends with " I " for present tense, "chilam" for past tense and "bo" for future tense.
 Most common thing:
Present, Past & Future tense in Bengali of 1st person sentence ends with ” I ” for present tense, “chilam” for past tense and “bo” for future tense.
Bengali Present Indefinite = I go = Ami Jai Bengali Present Continuous = I am going = Ami Jacchi Bengali Present Perfect = I have gone = Ami Giyechi Bengali Present Perfect Continuous = I have been going = Ami Jacchi Bengali Past Indefinite = I went = Ami Giyechilam Bengali Past Continuous = I was going = Ami Jacchilam Bengali Future Indefinite = I will go = Ami jabo Bengali Future Continuous = I will be going = Ami jete thakbo
Bengali Present Indefinite = I go = Ami Jai
Bengali Present Continuous = I am going =  Ami Jacchi
Bengali Present Perfect  = I have gone = Ami Giyechi
Bengali Present Perfect Continuous = I have been going  = Ami Jacchi
Bengali Past Indefinite = I went = Ami Giyechilam
Bengali Past Continuous = I was going =  Ami Jacchilam
Bengali Future Indefinite = I will go =  Ami jabo
Bengali Future Continuous = I will be going =  Ami jete thakbo
I eat = Ami khai I am eating = Ami khacchi I have eaten = Ami kheyechi I have been eating = Ami khacchi I ate = Ami kheyechilam I was eating = Ami khacchilam I will eat = Ami khabo I will be eating = Ami khete thakbo.

Bengali Present Perfect Tense

I have gone  = Ami giy-echi
I have eaten  = Ami khey-echi.

Bengali Present Perfect Continuous Tense

I have been going  = Ami jacchi..

Bengali Past Indefinite Tense I went = Ami giye-chilam. I ate = Ami kheye-chilam. We played = Amra khele-chilam. I wrote a mail = Ami ekti mail likhe-chilam. I wanted treatment = Ami chikitsa cheye-chilam.

Bengali Past Indefinite Tense

I went  = Ami giye-chilam.
I ate  = Ami kheye-chilam.
We played = Amra khele-chilam.

Bengali Past Continuous Tense

I was going  = Ami jac-chilam.

Bengali Future Continuous Tense
